| I've owned an S5000, s3000, and I currently have Pioneer cdj1000 MK2. I've also played with the cdj800 many times. I'd definitely urge you to get the cdj800. I'm not much of a fan of the Denon decks, i absolutely hate that useless moving platter on them. |

I am starting to build my gear... and I think I'll buy that pcv175 considering that I will upgrade later. I don't have the money to buy the 275 since I think it's 399$. I've found the pcv175 on www.wwbw.com and www.music123.com at 249$ instead of 299$ so are these shops good? Because wwbw doesn't seem to answer my questions really fast. Also, they seems to be like the same store.
Other than that, I think I'm good for the headphones and the Stanton s-550 cd player. I'll head for the Pionners TT as my next upgrade. Someone in my family will give me a cheap TT, so that's why I'll go for the TT next.
Oh, forgot to ask, is the pcv175 good? For a entry-middle mixer?
Thanks.. BTW, I really like this board! It's probably one of the nicest place for djs... I'm sorry for my bad english.. |

| i own the pcv-275 and i think its great... faders are smooth as butter and it feels so solid you could probably drop it on its face and not much would happen. plus the fx send and return is nice as i just ordered an air fx |

if you are going to spend the money on a 175 ($249), you may as well pick up the 275 for $299. Its a no brainer really. |

| As said in almost every other thread about buying dj crap... contact Dj Tranz, he is one of the guys at Djmart.com, he can give you a discount - which doesnt hurt to check. The reason you see most of the places selling the stuff for the same price is the MAP (minimum advirtised price) that is set by the manufacture. |

Finally someone else agrees. I do like the unit itself, but the platter is useless, especially if you are used to direct drive as it is a belt-drive platter. |

i actually bought zizacks denon from him. i agree that the spinning platter is somewhat useless, but with all the features on this thing, and its acuracy, you should not be buying this for th spinning platter.
also, as discussed 1k times on this board and at the Denon forums, there is no need for a direct drive platter on this deck. |
