Hi To All !!! Thankx God there is a place like this !!! Wanna knows guys if you can give me a hand with this...
I need to know all about this:
What does the Monetary Authority (the National Bank) of every country determines when the Economy is opened and also when the economy is closed ?. And when the economy is opened, what does it determines when the type of change is flexible and what, when it is a fix change ?. The same as this, but when it is a closed economy... When I talk about the Monetary Authority, I mean for ex. the BCRA (Banco Central de la Nacion Argentina) or in english: "The National Bank of the Argentinia Republic"... I am putting this example because I live in Argentina; just because that... I dont know the case in others countries...
HOPE someone is studying ECONOMY !!! :d :D

The monetary policy that your country (along with many other countries) can use is to either INCREASE or DECREASE the money supply.

If a countries economy is doing well (no, not yours) then the central bank of that country will reduce the money supply to prevent inflation from going further and to try and slow things down, also increasing interest rates. If an economy is doing bad (*points at Argentina*) then the central bank must INCREASE money supple to try and stimulate growth. Also decreasing interest rates in the hopes that people will borrow more money.

in the words of my illustrious macro uni prof the three rules about macro econ

1. it depends on supply
2. it depends on demand
3. it depends on supply & demand

when you understand this you've got an A

and I sorta created a 4th rule about macro economics

4. Never talk about macro economics
