Here is a straight progressive mix. I am starting to do harmonic mixing (though it may not be as much of an issue with prog). Looking forward to some feedback.

Listened to this while working on my master thesis (due tomorrow) and my final presentation (for Wednesday), so I might have missed some details, but here we go :)

Overall, it was a very nice mix, pretty sound both technically and tracklist-choice-wise speaking. Heard one or two very minor mistakes, but that's absolutely nothing to worry about..

Only true letdown of the mix are the last two tracks.. Especially Amiel - Love Song [Scumfrog Club Mix], it does not really fit the mix in my opinion and besides that, I think it's cheesy as fvck :) The last track also did not really suit the mix imo, and it sure did not do the rest of the mix justice. Another closing track would definitely leave a better imprint on my memory in that respect.

On the other hand, Infusion - Girls Can Be Cruel [Infusion sQ'ed Mix] kicks major butt, so that makes up a lot :)

I think you have really picked up on a habbit of mine (and not one I claim to be good). In most of my mixes I tend to through on a pretty different track at the end, in a prog mix from a couple months ago I ended with Wideband Network - Orbit [Airwave Mix] and in my latest Prog-Breaks mix I ended with an intense beakbeat track which was real different from the previouis tunes. I think after an hour or so I want to start playing different stuff but most of my recorded mixes are sized to fit on a CD, I didn't have this problem in my 3 hour recorded set :)

Thanks for the comments and I will try and be more mindfull of it in the future.

i think the best way is to start throwing a bit of colour from the start of your mix. if you try at the end, it'll off the balance a little and screw up the flow. im working on mixing tracks from different genres together to achieve a certain feel but its not exactly easy. i found your mix good to start, but it didnt exactly go anywhere. im not sure if you were intending it to go anywhere cause you did say it was just another straight progressive mix. transitions overall were pretty smooth. some minor errors but not big enough to notice.

Ya I wasn't trying to make it too varied, though I always try to avoid boring :D. The 3 hour mix I posted a few days ago definitly progresses through a few styles (house/prog-trance/trance/tech-trance) (track list)

Thanks for the comments
