new american muscle does leave a little to be desired...
but if you wanna talk about drifting...nothing like drifting around a chicane doing 80 miles an hour in a 2 ton beast that's 35 years old. and I aint from the south but everytime I drift i cant help but let out a giant "yee haw" a la bo and luke duke |

Dunno but I've seen a couple "ricey" mustangs and camaros... with altezzas and aluminum wings and nos stickers; usually on the V6 models too! I respect American cars; have a couple buddies with Saleen mustangs(well not real saleens, just the V8s with the bodykit, hood, wheels, etc.)and I wouldn't mind driving one of those.
I don't consider all imports rice but it seems the majority of Americans do... rice is only when you modify a car that is definitely not tasteful or appealing, but then again that differs from person to person. So I've seen ricey civics to integras to cavaliers to sunfires to mustangs.
Going in a straight line does take some skill(unless you're driving an auto; cause all you have to do is mash the gas pedal). Make sure your shift points are right and you launch at the right time and not red light the tree... but I agree, real racing is done on the track with curves and twists. Love watching F1 and touring car races on Speed. And JGTC is coming to Cali this month! I wish I lived in California because I could go and see some supras and skylines run their courses around a track!
Just remember... rice does not equal japanese imports(does this include european cars too?)!!! Cause if they do, then I'm calling all domestics potatoes!!! :haha: |

I gotta hate because its the ****** underground trying to pose as hetero sexual males who happen to like 4 bangers with turbos instead of man sized v8s pumping 2 gallons of gas a second. Its a bunch of pseudo asian wanna bes with no ing pride who take the cheapest easiest way out of performance by racing against other ty cars.
HEY DUDE CHECK OUT MY STREET LIGHT AND SOUND SYSTEM i spnet like 15 grand of my parents money!!!
i hate those people and i feel better every time I see one lose in a race (a lot)
And dont try to bull me and tell me this is a bunch of friendly neighborhood "men" testing out the new toy they got for their car. They are trying to prove to tall the ho ass bitches who flock to these things that their penis -when erect- makes it outside of their body.
Its gay, its stupid, and its anything but a friendly manly competition. Bunch of ing highschoolers who are gonna get their asses handed to them by the world in about oohhhh 10 years. |

I guess some people(mainly Americans)will always prefer their V8s... too bad because there are some capable turbo 4s and 6s out there. Wrxs, evolutions, mr2s, supras, eclipses, skylines, etc. Most of these cars can do more than go fast in a straight line... they kill corners too.

Here is the official site for the upcoming(Dec. 18 & 19!) JGTC in America: http://www.jgtcusa.net/home.html This ain't Nascar!

"This series features production cars tuned to the max. Just to give you an idea, the top factory cars such as the Toyota Supra, Honda NSX and Nissan Fairlady Z cost close to $1.5 million apiece. JGTC cars are fast and stop on a dime. In fact many call them the most capable GT cars on the planet. And it is not just about Japanese manufacturers. JGTC represents BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini as well as Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Mazda and Subaru. And then there are purpose built sports cars you have probably never heard of such as the Vemac, Mosler and Autobacs Garaiya. Aside from the cars, JGTC features Japanese driving stars "Dori King" Tsuchiya, Orido and Taniguchi as well as a host of top European talent. The bottom line is that JGTC is hot and it is coming here."
Only if I was in Cali... :(
Btw, if I had 40k to blow on brand new car, this is the car I'd get...

A real driver's car, no more, no less. |
