So there is to be a changing of the guard? Have I missed some of the best times? Did I enter the scene too late once more? I started listening to trance in late 2001 - now people are saying I missed some of the best times and, much like the elder COR inhabitants shunning the Chill-out neophytes, I have become interested when "trance is dead".
Did the COR really change, or did some of you just give up on it? There's always been idiots - there always will be, and as such, there will always be a need for people to correct the idiocy where they see it. Vivid, I felt, was one of those few people who, in a roundabout way, fought idiocy with idiocy. Even though he sought (and succeeded) to make people laugh, he always reserved a certain degree of intelligence or purposeful and inane rhetoric behind his posts. Despite the lack of good grammar, sentence structure, and other things some people can't seem to look past, there was always a small degree of satire behind his retarded posts. Very few could have pulled this off in the way that Eric did, but most of the time, his reputation preceded him.
Such is the way of online communities though - old members bow out while new members stumble in. There's really no way to avoid it, just as we shouldn't really try to avoid real-life.

The reason I'm so high on myself is that the world is full of people like you. If I were to feel anything less than a sense of superiority, I would simply be mistaken.
Best of luck going through life being low on yourself, though - at least your appraisal will be an accurate one. You can always look forward to telling your grandchildren that Arbiter actually wasted 30 seconds of his time responding to your utterly worthless post.
