So how was the Essential Mix then?
Brilliant! It went really well and I was pleased with it. Pete Tong said some very nice things afterwards and I hear that they've had some good responses so I'm pleased.
How would you describe your sound?
Energetic, uplifting trance and techno - quite tuff beats but it's my passion, I live it when I'm up there playin' and I really enjoy myself especially when the crowd responds.

No I love it and that's important you have to be really into what you do to be successful - and I think I'm up there, I've reached the next level because of that... This is a dream come true for me, I started like most people in my bedroom when I was 12/13 and by the time I was 14 I knew what I wanted to do.I can't believe the success I've had though and I'm only 20! It's brilliant.
You're part of the Goodgreef family - has that helped?
Definately! I love Ben and Barry they're great people and what they do with their parties means that young DJs can get the breaks which it can be so hard to get. They give new people a chance and I think that's what people want to see, I think punters are getting bored with the usual suspects
But you're one of them now!
I never thought of it like that... I suppose so though 'cos I do all the main venues now like God's Kitchen, Gatecrasher, Goodgreef... and now Radio 1... anyway I've just released my first track 'Elektrik' and heard this morning that it's gone into the Dutch charts this morning.
What are you up to in 2004 then?
Well the diary's looking pretty good - full every weekend, but my record company's pushing me into Europe now and Goodgreef's got plans to expand into Japan and Australia which will be great - but first there's Philips Park Hall this Saturday which as usual will be brilliant. |
