I could act as Yoji's personal bodyguard and be like "hey back off, get your own Yoji"!!:whip: :stongue:
Yes Yoji Biomehanika is my favourite DJ and his Sensation Black set blew my head off!! I have heard some of the VIVA DJ's play some Yoji tracks before so it would be nice if I could hear some Yoji tracks tonight;) :D TRANCE ADDICT becoming your new source of online music requests :haha: BWAHAHAHAHAHA:stongue: |
i think he's not been to canada or n.america at all. thats why i asked you what if yoji is SPINNING at viva. actually we're trying hard to do just that. |

HOLY !!! PULSE had DEKO-ZE and Goldfinger on Friday so they are stepping up for sure and competition between VIVA and PULSE could get interesting for Friday nights.
Apparently ROOM 19 in Markham has changed their format around and made their Friday night 19+ instead of all-ages and their Saturday nights all-ages instead of 19+ which is a move designed to not go head to head with VIVA for the younger crowd on Fridays (VIVA is 16+ and 19+ in the VIP drinking section). Now it seems like VIVA's older Friday night crowd goes to GUVERNMENT on Saturdays while the younger crowd now heads to ROOM 19 on Saturday so it is a smart move by ROOM 19 if that was the thought behind the switch which is what I heard.
Personally I always thought that the best parties at VIVA were the nights with Temporal Rhythm who brought a lot of good international DJ's and when Walter Rosati and Mark Oliver were throwing it down on the turntables:whip: :D TR had some damn good parties at VIVA so it would be neat if VIVA hooked up with TR again and brought in Yoji Biomehanika (ranked 33rd in the world by DJ MAG) and had him playing with Mark Oliver(1st in TO,4th in Canada on THE DJ LIST) and Walter Rosati(3rd in TO,8th in Canada on DJ LIST) which would be completely awesome!!:D :gsmile: |

Or maybe just let the residents do their thing?
I think Mark, Walter (when he played at viva), and even Filo and Peri would be enough for viva. Spending a lot more money on a guest DJ to bring in 30 extra people up from Toronto is a little excessive. |

| Suprisingly PULSE had a busier Friday night then Sunday night last week with Deko-Ze and Goldfinger spinning last Friday. Traditionally Sunday nights have been the busiest night at PULSE. |

| The asian crowd seems to be demanding more and more house. I see it at viva as well. |

Sure VIVA can still lay claim to being one of the best trance clubs around but playing ANY house past 1am is not VIVAish even if it is every other week especially when you are one of the only trance clubs around and people expect to hear lots of trance and for VIVA to be a premier TRANCE club:rolleyes: |
seems obvious viva knows what its doing....
i'd bet that any house they DO choose to play later in
the nights will only benefit them;)
a blend of genres accomodates more people.
this is where i really think filo & peri can/will
do well @ viva. trance AND proggy-house beats
really go well 2gether:D |

i think the asian or all younger generation crowd still prefers trance(at viva). as you could see the last two weeks some of the older crowd want to try out pulse house friday ,right jay? but any gen. still love your light show man. |

ahahaha thanks dude!
i like a good mix of both myself. As i said before, any night with just one genre is a snoozefest no matter what it is. |

Agreed. Variety not only broadens your potential audience, but also keeps things from getting stale... Progression over the evening keeps people interested and moving around. |

Thats what viva has been for a while now. A good mix of house, prog and trance. |

i don't think so. sunday night have a much bigger and better mixed crowd by brian and the sweat production crew , better vibe and of cause better balance of music (and DJs) through out the night.(your fav. LBA is playing right?).more variaties :-- one level house ,one level trance. |
