Hi Everyone...
(if this post is duplicated, please point me to other, because i've search search and still can't find this issue)
I own a NL3 for about 2 months (i'll pay for it for whole 2005), and this is my first VA synth...
I'm still trying to make my trance pads and sounds (factory banks aren't good), but i've to expend some time on the NL3 looking how the factory patches are generated...
However i'm looking to buy the Vengeance Sounds - Manuel Schleis - Nordish by Nature - Clavia NordLead 3 soundset (check the link):
http://www.vengeance-sound.com/eng/DetailsNL3.html
My question is: Does anybody has this soundset? How it's sound? It worth the 56.84 Euros??
I've made this little demo, and i want to know if this soundset has better sounds:
www.eletronz.com/[_eletronz_project_]_-_first_beat.mp3
I'm questioning this because here in Brazil, 1,00 Euro is 3,70 reais, so I will have to pay R$210,00 aproximated for some patches...
I want to start producing some Trance and Psy music to play live on brazilian raves.
I think patch programming can be very time consuming, and maybe this soundset will help me out, but it's very expensive to me (consider we are near christmas and new years day)...
Thanks for any response, and sorry about my English.

56 Euro is lots of money, I wonder if you find other cheaper sets on the internet or some free sets for download.
I own only a nordlead 2. When I hear the demo of vengeance, I really would like to have the nl3 and this set.
It's on you: If you want to have those sounds you can try to create them on your own - or buy the set. That's the way life goes...

My Impressions on NL3 Soundset by Vengeance Sound:
The Lead and Synth patches are very good, but not surprise me very
much (I'm expecting this kind of sound)... But now i have plenty of
them to use..
The basses are good too, and now i have a lot of basses, including the
70 basses from Clavia's website...
The arpegios are fine, but i'll give 10+ for the Trancy 303 patch,
I'll use this, and create new ones based on other 303 sounds...
The PADS are REALLY AWELSOME!!!! They are the most beatiful pad sounds
you can get from the NL3 (and I've never listened to anything like it
on other synths). I'm sure you can change it for your own taste if you
want....
I'm missing some of the SUPERSAWS found in the Roland JP80x0... I know
the JP80x0 is the "supersaw machine", but i think NL3 can generate
very cool supersaws...
So, why just the pads are awelsome, and the other features are good
but not surprising? This is because Manuel Schleis NL3 taste... He
likes the NL3 pads, and i think he found to be easy program very nice
pads, than expend 4 ou 5 more time to generate a supersaw patch (my
thoughts)...
Anyway, I don't know if the soundset worth 56 euros, but the pads are
incredible, and the other sounds are good too, so I can use it a lot,
and then change the sounds and parameters for my own taste... |
