Christmas list:
2 Numark TTX1
1 Numark PPD01
How will that be as a setup with limited budget, oh boy did I have to work a ton to afford this :toothless
Different Mixer? I want to keep the TTX1's, I got a chance to try them out and I relaly enjoy them.
Oh and what would it be like if I used a live synth to play along or do effects, or if I used a guitar effects processor on one of the turntables? I want to do something rad :F |

I dunno much about the mixer, I have heard good things about it though, and the decks seemed to have proved that they are good reliable decks.
You should be more than fine with that setup, if thats what you want. |

I have TTX1s and I like them. I'd recommend the Vestax PCV-275 mixer as well, they're dirt cheap at the moment since they were discontinued recently. $300 at vestaxstore.com or pssl.com
As for effects, lots of synths let you run external audio through their effects. If you're into producing or want to play along or whatever then that might be the way to go (I was looking into the Korg EMX-1) otherwise you're better off with a dedicated effects unit (Pioneer and Korg make popular ones), or a guitar effects unit would probably work too. Most decent mixers have an effects send/return so you pick any channel to send the effects too, and how much wet signal (w/ effects) you want vs. dry signal (w/o effects) |

| It sounds like a good setup, just don't forget if you're starting out you're also going to need headphones and cartridges. |

dont froget vinyl:)
*id also reccomend getting one(or two) of those cables( forgot the name) that plugs into your mixer on one end and the other can be plugged into a cd player or your comp... you can get one at radioshack
gives you alittle more flexibility as far as audio sources to mix with
http://www.radioshack.com/product.a...ct%5Fid=42-2551
if you have a soundcard on your comp that has an input jack you can also use this cord to send the main output from your mixer to your computer and you can record your mixes |
