if u get them a lot or often, it's worth checking out. i believe it has to do with the outer membrane of your eyeball getting worn down from every day wear and tear. the cornea? can't remember. my sister had to get surgery after showing signs of this for awhile. nothing major, just simple laser eye surgery that took two sessions in a month.
having them a lot or often, meaning if u are walking down the street on a normal day and u see them floating by. if you get them when u are purposedly staring at something for too long, or have ur head down against a table, that's just caused by too much or too little bloodflow, i.e. headrushes when you stand up too quick.
it's a really quick checkup at any eye doctor clinic, they give u an eyedrop that dilates your pupil (really fun, it's kinda like ur rolling but u dun feel it physically..lights are all weird and stuff) then they just look at your eyes through some machines and what not.
sorry i'm being vague here, i only know the medical term in chinese. it's a minor ailment that plenty of people have, and live perfectly fine with. but in serious cases, it can lead to eventual blindness. |

I used to get them all the time as a kid but I never told anyone cause I thought people would believe I was insane..
I used to "play" with them blinking my eyes and seeing them drift one side to another in my pupils ... WEIRD
On a side note, if it's very seriously affecting you it's best to get it checked out.
Just to make a long story short I had my left eye go blurry beginning of november.
Thought nothing of it until the right one went blurry two weeks later.
Totally freaked me out.
I ended up going to the eye doctor and there they found out that I had some separated eye discs or something :nervous:
Was sent to the hospital directly .... was inspected again and it appears I had blood pressure off the roof which was also the source of my headaches since october 2003 apparently.
One thing leading to the next, I was placed in ER, and ended up being in the hospital for one week and having a biopsy of my kidneys and it appears I have very advanced kidney failure.
The human body is crap!
My left eye is still blurry as hell and I'm told it may or may not recover over an extended period of time .... :(
One body part is busted and the other side of your body starts to go bad.
I DEMAND A REFUND!
In other words :
If it's really serious, don't mess with it, and try and get it figured out. Your health is what's most important! |

I've gotten the spots. When you're messed up they are there when your eyes are closed. That's super cool, at times.
I thought this was gonna be about crap too. |

does anyone else have those strange specs of translucent spots that seem to 'float' over your eyes? :conf: |

Floaters = migrane for me.
I take Gravol to help get rid of the "aura" and it helps me stop throwing up. My mom and I both "see" our headaches before we feel them. |

I get these too, and I just ignore em for the most part.
I know i've seen em since I was a kid, so who knows. My eyes are working fine so I always thought they were normal on occasion.
oh yea I try and follow them sometimes when i'm bored too, a very challenging game. Although I'm not sure how to win it. |
