The Techtonic Division Crew (DJ’s Luis Padron, Illich Mujica, and Navid Azadi) take over the Frying Pan for the third installment of their art infused, architecturally inspired, fusion of musica electronica. Their aim is to create an interactive visual and dance floor experience using site-specific installations to accompany their wide range of forward thinking dance music. The newest creation: snowFLUX, will transform the Frying Pan’s engine room into a sea of light sensitive ‘icicles’. The installation consists of an undulating field of medical tubing that respond to diverse lighting conditions, thus transforming the space into a forest of light sensitive beams in constant flux with the pulsating sounds of house and techno; to ensure you keep moving on this late December night.
In addition, the Division is proud to present Stephen Gamble, the up-and-coming DJ from the Intuition crew of NYC. Alongside him will be the Techtonic Division crew (DC + NYC): Azadi, Luis Padron, and ill_itch (in an all-night VJ performance)!
