it is a very well done track, i was not bored at all. The tune's sounds dont appeal to me very much but its a good tune, i think you should remove that grindy noise thats in it, it aggrivates me

I also think you could add some more upbeat and actively, stabbing synths to make it more jumpy with the beat.

overall i give it a 7/10, pretty good work Minnesota Guys!

The Few, The Proud, The Minnesota TA's! :happy2:

cheers thanks for the feedback, please give us more feed back :)

well i liked it, it's different from anything i've heard, i think the "scratchy" sounds give it a bit flavor.

of course what do i know :wtf:
Dave`Avid
Thanks for noticing the change in form. I am trying to develop a new sound, still in progress obviously. Everything was done using only reason, some reaktor, and cubase to put it all together. No studio time was used in this, all from minimal resources. We are hoping someone might give us a shot in a studio or something! Thanks for the feedback Dennis! ;)

hey minnesota kids. im actually from minnesota too, just going to school in wisconsin. wait, i see the URL is a Carr from UMD, you wouldn't happen to be Jeff from St. Cloud would you? I know a ton of kids who go to UMD, as about half my high school did.

anyway, im diggin this tune. my one complaint is that the kick is a little thin. i like all the different synth themes you have going on. what do you guys use to produce??

keep it up.

edit: nevermind, i should read all the posts before asking questions. reason it is.

awesome acid fx, really woke me up, the hat sounds too loud and bright

very interesting production style, and very refreshing, it shines out in the crowd of boring mainstream trance i'm starting to get sick of hearing on online radio

and i'm LOVING the breakbeats, i'm a whore for those

good work, fellas... and it's good to see more United Staters do this sorta thing.... especially from MINNESOTA
Aristronica
yah, I wonder who told you to put those breaks in there, hmmmm...

edit: ha ha, wait i think it was your idea.

Yea like I said before our main source of sound is drawn from Native Instrument's Reaktor 4 and of course Reason. Everything is done on our computers, however, I am transfering to a school in downtown Minneapolis next quarter to start up my Sound Engineer training. Also, a bonus is studio access! So expect bigger and better tunes in the near future!

peace

just curious, are you doing IPR or musictech?

i know of one tune that got pretty big that came out of musictech, so they definitely have the equipment. i also took a little workshop there a few years ago and got to look around the studios, nice stuff.

I'm going to attend IPR. I'm going down for a tour in the coming weeks, but I have a friend who tells me the studios are very well equiped.
