Hello, I have been using an old version of fruityloops (3.56) due to lack of funds. I noticed I was unable to do some of the things I wanted to.

a) Can bends be applied to vstis? if so, how?
b) I couldn't find a function to load vsti presets. I know they exist, because if I load a vsti into an fx slot, presets are available, but not as a channel.

Perhaps I am missing something. Would a simple fl upgrade to fl studio 5 do the trick? Thanks a bunch.

well it's not just a simple upgrade, there's lot of changes, but why u still on the 3.56 as long as updates are free?or do u have the boxed version?
(if it's a C version,u should update it too :D )
now about bends,u can automate all vst's knob(i think right click>edit in 3.56)

Thanks. I was able to do the trick with a pitch bend/modulation vst I had by automating it. No, i didn't know fl upgrades were free (I have a boxed version). I'll check it out right away. Thanks.

Thank you all for your replies. I've been contemplating buying flstudio 5 (via download). I am curious as to how I would be able to re-install fruity in case of a system crash or something. Have any of you had negative experiences with this? positive? Is the download some kind of file I can back up on a cd? Thanks again.

of course u can burn it on cd,and it's very easy just download the demo and ur reg. key(1k) from "ur Flstudio section" on the fl site!
