| I think you'll be pretty happy. Not much to complain about there. |

No problems with that set-up mate. Looks nice.
I would swap the headphones for Sennheiser HD25s though, but that just me... |

Freak, do you mix in the cans, or do you one ear monitor. I know a buddy of mine that mixes purely in his headphones and claims thats why the HDJ1000s crack and break. Just curious...
As for you setup man, that look pretty sweet.. Haven't seen many people choose the 707 mixer, but it does kick ass.. |

I dont understand how that works...
I mean, all they are doing is sitting on your head? I think there would have to be some horrible horrible horrible designing to make headphones that break when worn on your head. Does the guy have a large head or something?
If anything, one ear monitering should make them break. |

Depends what mixer and/or the monitor set up is.
No set forumla to what i use- just depends which is easiest on the night.
One pair went after a couple of uses using one ear, the next pair went after a couple of split cue uses
Cant see how that would affect it to be honest-
Its blatantly a manufacturing fault. |

I was just curious. I know my buddy wears them purely on his head. and he told me that the cracks are caused from the stress of being spread open while on the head. Not sure if that is actually why they break, obviously you've had worse problems. |

Well I'm the 'buddy' that had the same problem....
The reason I think its from mixing in the headphones is because you constantly take the headphones off and one. The crack on my headphones started just below the 'R' at the small corner. This corner acts a high stress concentration point and when you take the headphones on and off you slightly stretch that point. Eventually what forms is a fatigue crack from the cycling stress.
I'm a Materials Engineering Technologist...just in case your wondering where all the theory and tech talk is coming from.
