i dont reply to this website much... but my question is why should this scene only apply to people who know everything about the music? if that was the case then you wouldn't see hardly any of the turnouts that you do at clubs today (except for maybe Space). when you go to a 'regular' club do you know who is spinning and every song they are playing?
so let these girls enjoy their time and dont pick on them just cause they have no clue whoever the hell is "the master of the decks"...plus they provide good scenery. |

| I would rather not see the turnout then deal with stupid people just bitchin about the music and getting in the way... they can go to top 40 clubs down the street and provide good scenery there. |

heh, reminds me of something that happened to me... I was talking to a friend (well, more of an acquaintance haha) at school, and they asked me what I was doing that night, and I said "oh, I'm going to see Sander Kleinenberg at the Mark." "who's that?" they say... "oh, he's this really good progressive house dj from holland."
and what's their reply?
"oh, really? i prefer djs from america, guys like mike b"....
and for those of you that don't know mike b, he's an atlanta local who spins hip-hop/top 40/cheese trance... and usually spins with his shirt off...
gotta love the ATL |
Wasn't all that long ago Mike B. was in Gainesville. Good to know he still takes off the shirt. I personally love when i tell a girl, "i listen to house/ trance, you know, like paul oakenfold."
"I don't know who that is, but have you heard of DJ Icey?" That has had to have happened to me at least 5 times. Gotta love breaks in florida:rolleyes: |
