Has anyone had an abscess drained before (tonsils)?!? (pg. 2)

| Ray had some stuff drained from his gums. was pretty painful but he started feeling better right after. A huge release of pressure. |

yeah dude take the drugs and make sure you take all of them for the required number of days especially if they are antibiotics.
i had my tonsils and adanoids removed when i was 13 and i never had problems after that, but before i had similar happen to me frequently, sucks. |

When I was 14 my tonsils and throat were so swollen, I couldn't breathe when I layed on my back. After a few days, I was rushed to the hospital, where they put me on an IV because I was massively dehydrated. That was awful!
I can understand why you would feel so terrible. Get lots of rest, and try and stay hydrated. If you can't drink, or your tempurature goes up, get your ass into the ER. That's a scary sickness!
It hurts like a bitch too :(

| still up - five hours and cant catch a wink of sleep. i keep waking up with a puddle of saliva covering my face and pillow. i wouldnt wish this upon my worst enemy. seriously contemplating the ER at this point..... |

dude, just go to the hospital. don't ever around with your throat area. if it gets bigger you can't breathe, you already can't eat or drink. it's the input for all the things you need to stay alive.
i know that you don't wanna ruin your weekend but it has to be done.
or get RJ to do it. i can get you the needles. |

Were you at Tiesto? Cause I am pretty sure thats where I caught it from. Also from being up all night too.
I am taking Amoxicillin, which doesnt seem to be working. I keep waking up every hour during the night, lots of saliva, I have never ever been so sick. I am starving too, I havn't really eaten anything since sunday, except some yogurt that I barely swallowed.
I know exactly how you feel Jeff, I may be at the hospital 2morrow. EKKK. Hope you feel better soon. What are you taking for meds? |

im taking Amoxicilin too.....i just got back from the hospital. drained that sonvabitch. now im off for some much needed zzzzzz. thanks for all the kind words and suggestions, you guys rock.
p.s. - no i wasnt at Tiesto..... :P |
