Hi all, i know you don't like me doing this. But I will have to say i'm wrong, i'm brand new. I have takin all of your suggestions, and put them together, they have helped me greatly :). So tonight at 10pm and on the 18th at 10pm EST I will be playing live. Anyone can listen, I hope I can impress some people.

you need to practice alot (beat & phrase matching... if this is how you sound on traktor it isn't going to sound any better on turntables). all i can tell you is pRactice pRactice, practice. oh and if you're inviting people from here to listen i suggest you don't play all that cheese you played... and dont use mp3s that don't have a clean beginning and ending, i heard some tracks just cut off out of nowhere when u were attempting to mix.

I know most people here are all about underground sounds and have these tight preferences of what makes music good. We all argue about these little picky details and flame each other because we like different stuff. DJ Coleman might not be playing that certain sound that some of us or looking for, you might even think he plays all the stuff that you hate the most.
But when I listen to this mix I can tell that his heart is in the right place. He loves the music he plays and is trying his best to bring the fun to everyone. If we could just curb our hatred of vocals and dreamy melodies for a little while we could realize what this kid is trying to do and appreciate it better.
So say what you will about mixing and track selection, I think he has the right spirit and lets out all those good vibes that I find myself going to parites and endlessly hunting for. He has the passion and enthusiasm and its only getting better.

Ok, tonight at 10pm EST i will play live :). This is a great mix I think, I have brand new songs, none of which i have used before. Its not really my style, but i like exploring :). So I hope you all turn out and listen. I will post the playlist later that i will be using.
O yeah, hardly any vocals :), that was a reqest. So I thought i would find songs with little to no vocals. |

Of course but i'm talking the whole world, i had to edit the mix. I had troubles in some of it, why i don't know. But i think it went over well pretty good. I fixed my mistakes if there were some that i relized. You can download it soon, 1h14m long.

DON'T EDIT OUT YOUR MISTAKES!
How do you expect feedback if you go back after and fix your mistakes. This will not make you better, but getting feedback will.
Put up your mix EXACTLY how you did it, otherwise there is no point in putting it up. |
