If you're going, post up.
I'm going to be there, because USC knows how to throw a party. (Freak Night was nucking futs, for those who missed it.) |

| I will be there! Anyone hear if there is gonna be a meet and greet for those of us who have VIP passes? |

I'll be there...by myself :(
Let's hope its a better show than Tiesto did in San Diego a few days ago...my friends said he was just talking to some girl in the DJ booth the whole time not even paying attention to the crowd. |

I've never been a fan of Tiesto but when I saw that 'Live' video of his I really got turned off. All that talk in the beginning about how great he is was just uncalled for. If somebody bought or rented the video they already know who he is. No need to tell everybody just how close to God he is. But I figured I would head out tonight to see what all the fuss was about and give him a second chance to make a fan.
Well I must say that his mixing and track selection is spot on but he's just so cheesy and arrogant. The way he smiles, poses for photos while mixing and gets to crowd to applaud him really speaks volumes. Even the blond with the Guess shirt who I assume is his GF thought her don't stink. And those lame ass Free Floats that he clearly endorses? Please! Like he really needed them for the four records he spun. I just feel bad for Eva that she had to use them.
Anyway he's a better DJ than me and I know a lot of people were having a great time but I just can't get past his cheesy-ness. On top of that I don’t think he is really that unique.
Sorry I had to hate. Just wanted to speak my piece.

| I showed up to find out this had sold out. Stupid of me not to buy tickets early, but seems like these shows never sell out. |

Tiesto is popular because he puts on a good show and people have a good time. I mean he is certainly not humble, but he seems like a nice guy, and after his last show in seattle he stayed a long time after the show to sign autographs. Sure he is a rich superstar, but he does alot of thing to show that he appreciates his fans ... and that is why he will continue to be popular.
And i agree he can't really mix that well. I say that relatively speaking ... i mean for someone who does this for a career and has been mixing for as long as he has ... he doesn't have the skills of other superstars like paul van dyk or armin. But then again, lots of djs with poor skills are very popular ... Paul oakenfold does not have great mixing skills ... and Johan Gielen is downright horrible. If i was heading to a show to hear good mixing i would have gone to Markus Schulz on friday, or caught Zabiela when he was in town a few months back.
I'm just quite disappointed that i missed the show tonight. Can somebody do a tracklisting? I haven't heard any Tiesto sets recently and am curious to know what tunes he is mixing. |

i had a great time in seattle! it was my first time in the city since i was 10 and obviously my first clubbing experience there. he played quite a hard set last night and i could barely ID most of the tunes.
armin vs mike - pound
thomas datt - 2v2 (robert nickson remix)
kyau vs albert - made of sun (kyau hard dub)
tiesto - just be (antillas remix)
thats all i can remember. i had to leave around 1:30 cause i screwed myself over with a drink too many.
props to my buds for helping me out the whole way home from seattle. its good to have good friends to party with. we'll do this again when tiesto comes to vancouver and this time i promise i will take it easy with the liquor. :p
lets build on this tracklist. he played a lot of great tunes. |

He played a few of his own as well...
Tiesto - Traffic
Tiesto - Love Comes Again
Tiesto - Adagio for Strings
By the way, I can't really blame the guy for having such a big ego, I'm sure a long time ago once he became popular he realized he didn't have to do for people to like him. People cheer for him for no reason other than he's the "#1 DJ in the world". I really hope someone more deserving gets the #1 spot next year, if anything to put his ego in check. I love his music and he put on a good show, but enough is enough... |

When will he be in Vancouver? Last year i drove all the way up there and waited in line 3 hours because someone at the ticket agency told me they where selling all the tickets at the door and none in advance. Turned out to be bull ... and i didnt get in. |
