Some of you might remember this track from aaaages ago. I posted it here some time during last year but was never quite happy with it. It sat on my HD for a while, almost got signed at one point and went through a long series of reworks (one from a rather famous trance duo, sadly noone's ever gonna hear it) and now it's here.
OrgaNik - Genesis (v2.0)
This will be the end of OrgaNik as we know it. Starting on 10th of January I shall be going through the mandatory army service which I hope will only last for 6 months. After that I am going to start from a clean table. What direction it will be, I do not yet know. What I do know, though, is that this track represents the "old" OrgaNik exactly the way I wanted it to be.
Love it or hate it, that's it. |

Nice way to end my night! Comments as I listen:
-Starts off excellent. Production value is superb, there's some great stereo space being utilized here.
-Bassline is excellent.
-Excellent subtle use of effects.
-1 minute mark is seriously groovy!
-Percs are really excellent, great variety of sounds and perfect stereo placement.
-The vocal is cool, but IMO it could benefit from a few more effects, even something as simple as heavier delay.
-Nice melody and synth sound.
-3:20 is really nice when the beat comes back.
-Very nice breakbeat near the 5 min mark. Breakbeats are very commonly used, and suck 99% of the time. That one is quite nice and you can tell that you know the breaks genre a lot better than most trance producers. Would be cool to keep it in a bit longer imo.
-I expected a bit more towards 6 mins or so when the beat comes back, some kind of noisy edit or something woulda been sweet. Still nice though, despite subtle.
Very nice piece of work. Refreshingly original and excellently produced. This is absolute quality and I will be playing it.
Thanks for the share! |

I'm not really to fond about this one Nik, don't really like what you did with that beat... just doesn't seem to connect with the main melody very well. A big shame, because that beat in 'Random Act Of Noise Pollution' was bloody massive ;)
And the other thing is, it doesn't have a real climax, it's just a little too boring I guess. I think that the main melody could use a major pad-pattern to expand it.
Furtherwise, your build-up, use of samples and mastering is excellent. Producing wise nothing wrong with this track, only no real climax. And a little dissapointing beat.
I really believe you can get much more out of this, cause the beginning is there already only the missing parts should be filled, ... well it does in my opinion then ey :D

ps. good luck in the army, I thought it wasn't obligated anymore in the whole of Europe? that really sucks man! |

Sorry, but no. I'm tired of climaxes. |

Because it was once a great thing but then it got blown out of proportion and exaggerated until it became a parody of itself.
Listen to the tunes that get posted here, 90% of them are carbon copies of each other. I don't want to be a part of that group any more. |
