Compressed in relation to what? The kick is a bit too dominant and LOUD in relation to the rest of the tracks elements. What are you referencing it against?
On a different note: I like the vibe of track. It sounds very oriental.:) |

yes i am referencing that kick is so dominant,i compressed it in fx separate fx channel and compressed overall track.
i think this it's good track, but need to be better mastered and equed, but my ears are not trained very well. however, any tips for kick? maybe remove compression? |

Well your mixdown needs a bit of work(nothing to do with mastering). You can start by turning the kick down by (a rough guess would be) 9db, but don't quote me on it. The kick is kinda your standard FL kick so maybe even scarp it and sample a kick you like out of a pro track. The best tip I can give you tho is to listen to your favourite cd for a week, and then come back and listen to your track. You'll notice what's wrong straight away like that:) |

yes you are right it's classical FL kick DNC_Kick,but i found it's the best suited in track,i'll try some other kicks or just forgot this tune i am so bored with equing...thanx anyway
but my general question about production is how to make kick so "in background" and not "in your ears"..do you know what i mean? i think this is not discused |

Well yours is very "in your ears" because it's too loud to being with, and it's occupying the wrong frequencies(mainly noticable because it's too loud). That standard "kick in the background" is achieved by having dominance in the lower end frequencies ie. under<400hz and a slight rise in the "slappy"(for a kick) frequency range: generally beyond>3000hz. So turn it down and boost in the range of 60hz. |
