Once again, an excellent show of TOTA talent. I'm very glad I found the opportunity to make it out with long-time party comerade, Expired (another Chris!) to support our great DJs and enjoy some killer tunes and great company.
Was feeling quite tired towards the end of Gamma's killer prog wizardry, I was getting pretty pooped... Considered calling it an early night, but glad I stuck around and didn't miss out on the great conversation, the many-TOTA-birthday celebration (Ryan dude, I still can't believe your end of the night. Like I said, totally unfair), and lastly (but not leastly!) a *great* closing set for the front 'gallery' laid down by Mr. Nrg2Nfinit. Karim, you kept those who stuck around to see a great show of TOTA artistry on their toes. I recall at one point glancing over to see what you had queued to cut into and saw the Anjunabeats logo, you saw the look of excitement and you returned it :D
Any please, any clubbers who chew gum inside: Show consideration for those partying around you, *please* don't drop or spit your gum out in the way of passers-by and those dancing. Put it in a paper or make sure it goes into a garbage reciptical. Someone left a nice surprise for me just as Jas van Houten's latest hit on ARTC started pounding out. I spent a better part of the track trying to quickly remove the sticky mess off my shoe. Sticky followed me for the rest of the night, until I could find something better than the Kleinenberg flyers that we lying around. Not fun.
Great to meet a few (or have my poor memory for connecting names to faces 'refreshed') new people, some people whose humour, love for music, and respect for each other never cease to amaze me. The DJ 24_7, one of many of the large group of TOTAs who shared feelings of disappointment that they couldn't catch an 'uber' display of dance goodness by Filo & Peri, regrettably playing the same night far across the city. Rich, whose flight 'serendipitously' ;) arrived in time to share in what was supported in the front section virtually as an event in its own right, was one of those who shared in my wish to be at Viva partying with the dons, Filo & Peri, almost convincing some people splitting on a taxi up there might mean seeing both finely acted events. Dude, hope you got some decent sleep after last night, I bet you needed it :)
Met up my good buddy Derek out celebrating his 30th with the usual trance-loving crew. Happy Birthday to ya man, glad I could celebrate with you after all. Didn't see yous guys much around the front 'gallery' space much, though I saw a few of you in for Nrg2Nfinit's energy-filled set and closed down the front with grins on their faces.
A wonderful evening that was a perfect way to unwind from a stressful work week. Thanks to everyone who made it possible, TAs, promoters, club management, and music-lovers alike. You guys are kings. |

I'll post my pics a little later on.
Breakfast at Mel's at 4:00am with Diginut was HYPE! :D
Great work by the TA DJs, I spent pretty much the entire night in the front room taking pictures and such.
Happy Birthday to Newr, it's just unfortunate that things ended up the way they did... F***in' cops :whip: |

Glad I was persuaded to stick around (though not the floor!). I was ticked off, so rare to have a chance to dance around to such massive tunes in such great company... felt bad it was squandered man.
Hope to see you play again in the future :) |
