Start > Programs > Accessories > Command prompt
tracert www.whateveryouwant.com
example : tracert www.tranceaddict.com ; going overseas you get more interesting ones.

just shows the hops of where the site is, on servers and such. you can tracert your self too. |

a hop is when your packet goes through one server to another. you're tracing where you internet connection to www.x.com goes through when you connect to it. |

not server to server, but rather router to router |

| You first set the TTL of the packed to 1 so it only goes to the first router. Then you raise it by one and continue like that until you've reached the destination. And nobody cares about what I just said. :p |
