What was your favourite vacation?

Hey all
Well i haven't been on vacation (holiday as us brits call it) in 5 years. The last holiday i went on was to Menorca (one of the islands near Ibiza) near Spain. I absolutley Loved it, i was only 13-14 at the time so i wasn't drinking or anything...
The sea would be crystal blue, the skys always sunny and there was hardly any tourists...It was the most relaxing holiday i've been on.
I'd go snorkelling on deserted beaches and have loads of fish swimming around me. I'd spend have a day in the water just looking at all the different marine life. I went horse riding through the mountains and see all kinds of wildlife. I just felt really at one with nature.
So what was your best vacation you've even been on? |

back in sophomore year in High School our entire marching band of almost 400 took 5 coach buses down to florida for 5 days... we only had to play once in disney world and then we just screwed around the rest of the time... it was absolute craziness:crazy:
oh yeah.. i quit band right aftet the trip :wtf: i only stayed in it to go to florida |

My best vacation, well that is very tough because I am fortunate enough to have been on some great vacations. A selection of which....
New York - I flew out on Concorde (with Reese Witherspoon:D), had a limousine to myself, a nice suite at a 5* hotel in Midtown and a driver at my beck and call to take me wherever I wanted. Although I actually got into the NY spirit and took the subway a lot and walked. Spent a rather pleasant five days shopping, eating and taking in the sites before flying home
Washington DC - Bumped into my now girlfriend by pure chance and it was the holiday romance that I really didn't expect. 15months later and we are still together.
British Virgin Islands - Flew to Antigua and spent a day there before flying by helicopter and jet to British Virgin Islands where we had a 54ft yacht for myself, my brother and our parents for a couple of weeks. Dropping anchor and going swimming and snorkling off the back of the boat was incredible |

| last time i went to my birthplace which is puerto rico. great place for vacationing, but i wouldnt want to live there, unless i lived in Old San Juan which is kind of a rich area. |

I went to Tenerife for the melennium. I was 13 at the time (or maybe 14) and it was the first time I'd ever seen a woman naked.
The feminine mystique that comes with childhood was immediately absolved when that beautiful spanish woman threw her towel down 6 feet from me, looked me in the eye, and reached behind herself to undo her black bikini top. Her wet, black hair gently parting and swaying in the calm breeze while her glistening, sunkissed body radiated in the Spanish sunlight. She then crouched down, the supple, femenine form shadowed as her silhouette gleamed around the edges, obscuring the direct sunlight from my view. That was true beauty - perhaps the unfair medium by which I judge any women, anymore.
New year's eve was lackluster - the excitement of being far away from home and in a foreign country for such an event was exciting enough, fireworks shot off in the distance and, even though there was no really justifiable reason to celebrate, man had found a way to indulge himself. As such, I was up until 3 am because the people next door were ing like rabbits. It was a sexual marathon, and they decided to not only bang against the wall, but to keep their balcony door open so that the entire neighborhood could hear their moans of mammalian distress.
It's a shame that I was too young to understand and appreciate much else from the country. I still have memories of interesting, little details, but since people like to hear about sex and nudity, I'll just leave you all with that. ;) |

My favorite used to be Florida back in '96.
Now it's "My trip to Houston 2001" I chose that because I listened to a lot of EDM there. The music being played there was 10X better than up here in Upstate New York.
Even though 9/11 somewhat ruined my vacation, I at least got to salvage the benefits of being outside my home and listen to trance at 9pm. |

my senior year of high school i did an exchange with our German class. i had a german student live with me during April and then in July [2001] went with our class and lived with him. i loved it so much. 29 days of pure fun where i could basically do whatever i wanted w/ no consequences. ah man that was so much fun.
i stayed friends w/ my host family and went back to visit them back in july of 2003. went to some pretty slick clubs (or "diskos" as they called them"). more good awesome fun. |
