actually i liked benny b when i first heard it.
Why? because the bassline was really heavy and strong. The vocorder voice was similar to a lot of old school techno tunes from the late 80s (think LFO for example) and it wasnt over played.
Its when every commercial tune that came out for 6 months after sounded like satisfaction that i got bored of it. Its now cheesy because everyone and his uncle has copied it and it has also been very overplayed. |

Song: was soooo bad that I never tried to know it's name
Kim Wayans did justice to the song when she mocked it on the show "In living Color" back in the 1990's.
Whatever that song was..........my first thought was WTF........has everyone gone stupid.......who buys this crap
Singer #2: Macy Gray
Song: Who cares.......it almost sounds like tracy chapman all over again |

U2 - Beautiful Day
Even Bono admitted, after winning the grammy that this song has a weak chorus. People didn't understand why I disliked that song.
I can name a lot more pop stars that came out in the last 8 years and just wonder WTF???

Flat Beat came out before and had the same type of Bassline didn't it? I LOVE music like that, Satisfaction and My Emotion, and Love is gonna save us. But hearing too much of it gets tiring, you're right. I was just listening to a Paul Van Dyk set I dled and he drops Flat Beat... mmm it's great :) |

That first uber-popular Macy Gray song "I try to walk away but I choke..." I never understood why people liked it. But now that it's older I actually enjoyed it when I heard it on the radio at work recently.
