well for html you'd use dreamweaver mx and for flash you'd use flash mx
i use flash mx 2004 pro and the old dreamweaver mx, since i rarely do just html work. |

I'm not very good with them, but if you look around at all the cool new websites popping up nowadays, most of them have flash elements in them (or are completely flash for that matter).
So Macromedia Flash would be good, its really cool, you could do alot of interesting with it. Its more graphics based though, like you said your an "HTML head" so maybe you'd want Macromedia dreamweaver or something (support for various web coding languages)? But I'd go Flash.
Also if you're into graphics you could use Adobe photoshop to make a website layout completely graphically, then slice the page up and use those with html (or php or whatever). I'm pretty sure there's even a plugin that lets you export your .psd file to .fla in Flash, so you could make a nice graphic website, then export it into flash for effects and the like.
*shrug* I just know this stuff, as of yet though I haven't really done anything related to either of the programs I mentioned, they're just sitting on my comp. since I got em for free. |

i have never seen a forum made with flash.. i've seen menus at the top, but the forum isnt flash/actionscript based.. as far as forums, just go to http://www.vbulletin.com/ |

I'm pretty sure I've seen a Flash forum at one point or another, I'd imagine it might of been advanced to program with flash actionscripting though or whatever they used :/.
But yea you could just use vBulletin, phpBB, IPB, or some other forum board service. |

ditto .. Dreamwaver MX .. works for me everytime ..
if not, then you can always get Microsoft FrontPage .. a little bit erratic in it's ways, and no drop down menus and stuff .. but still pretty good in it's way ..
but Notepad pawns everything .. and you can also mention VI for you UNIX heads out there .. don't use VI anyways if i want to do script editing anyways .. do it in notepad, and ftp it to the UNIX server i say .. hahahaha |

Dreamweaver and Notepad are the way to go.
Depending on your server/needs/usage I wouldn't get too heavy into the graphics or flash. |

ok, stop acting hardcore using notepad, i used to use it, once a webscript gets over 500lines you REALLY need line numbers. |
i say ditto there! .. hahahha ..
but i have been getting angry with sifting through lines of code to find compilation errors as of late .. so i just create .js or .vbs files outside my html/other files to run scripts .. makes my finding errors a lot easier .. maybe different for others, but for me yeah . |
