Hey all
I dunno how many people have heard about the Cosmic Beach event that was supposed to go down in Montego Bay, Jamaica in November, with acts like Christopher Lawrence, Binary Finary, Skylab 2000, Billy Nasty, Sandra Collins, Frankie Bones, Keoki, Freaky Flow, Flipside, etc. etc.

This is an email I just received:

Based on the recommendation of private security professionals and general travel advisories, we are regrettably postponing the event. All advanced tickets will be honored and the venue and location will remain the same.
The rescheduled date will be: January 18, 19 and 20 2002.
Please refer to your terms of service as provided with your donation. All talent scheduled for the event will remain the same where applicable. If the artist is unable to make the engagement at that time, we will immediately make line up changes available via the web site.
Although air travel and tourist travel are safe, issues with event insurance underwriters and unpredictable future retaliation on the U.S. by terrorist leave us no other choice but to reschedule the event. We are getting a plethora of feedback from persons planning to attend and concerned artist who would rather see the event rescheduled, preferably after the U.S. and it’s allies have a chance to make substantial security modifications to airports and airplanes as well as annihilate core terrorist insurgence. We have also been told that inoculation of the public by the federal Government may be imminent to protect against a biological threat.
Being resilient, we will journey on and provide a great event as planned! It will just have to be at another more opportune time.

I really wanted to go to this, not just for the talent but because its in Jamaica! However, I cannot go away until January. This postponement is a blessing in disguise for myself, if it actually happens.........
Now, I'm not 100 percent sure about this event, so I was wondering if anybody knows email addresses for the Toronto people that were supposedly confirmed: Freaky Flow, Flipside or the Stickmen. I'd like to email them and see if this event will actually still go on, if they're still spinning, etc.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks.
