Does anyone here have a powerball?
I just got one in the mail today, and it worked fine, gives you quite a workout if you get it to go fast... but now I just can't get the thing to work anymore. I slide it across my matress to get it started (the string broke) and it starts fine lights go like crazy I can feel it working, then I do the wrist thing and I just feel al the power go, it's dead. huh? |

This is a power ball

It's suppose to make your hands and arms stronger, and it prevents carpil tunnel syndrome.
the yellow thing is a gyroscope that you activate with a string and you rotate your wrist to make it go faster and faster, the gyro makes it so that theres an opposite force to the movement of your hand, it's supposed to be able to generate 16kg of force,
If you get it to work its quite a nice experience, especially if you get it fast enough. But mine just doesn't seem to work anymore. |

Can you elaborate a little? I googled it but only found that it is some kind of pain in the forearm? :conf: |

carpil tunnel syndrome is some sort of degenerative disease in your wrists. Theres something in your wrist called a carpil tunnel and I think it becomes brittle or something (I donno much about it so flame as you wish, I'm not a doctor and I work not in any medical field) which causes great pain and movement loss in the wrist. It is caused by doing repetitive work like typing and using your mouse.
That is why you always hear about not working more than 30 minutes at you pc without stretching and all that.
Somehow a powerball is supposed to help against it and it is used in rehabilitating people that do have it. And it's nice to play with... If i could only get the ing thing to work again, it doesn't seem broken. |

Thanks, I thought this ball could maybe improve my shaking hands (it's not much, but they do shake). |
