ya man 9 jobs aint much. well, maybe it is if your applying for minimum wage mcdonalds jobs i guess. After i finished collage i applyed for probably 40 managment positions, Most didnt even produce an interview and i have tons of experience. Go online, canada has a human resources website that you can search for new job postings by city, its updated with 100's of new jobs a week.

then all at once i got 3 offers for interviews in one day.

......worst advice ever.

how did u fokkers land your first job??

i've been on eight interviews (and one second interview) with no job offer yet. Boo me. In my area (and field) the market is saturated with people, and theres (apparently) somone more qualified than me for every job.

I keep sending out resumes, and I'm even working with a job shop (contract house) in hopes of getting a job through them...

At the end of the year, I will be losing my current job (actually my last day of work is Thursday... ) so I definitely feel your pain.

yeah, put me on the list.cant find at the moment.

I know how you feel - all my mates have started getting jobs and I just get rejection after rejection! I've tried 5 places now, all who advertised that they needed help... I guess being 16 doesn't really help but still, some of my mates just applied once and got a job. Even though I've got 4 grand in my bank I feel as though I shouldnt really just be taking money from it everytime I go out :p - would be nice to pay for it after working for it!

Rofl!

Last year I was without a job for 3 / 4 months it was quite a bi*tch and I was making at least 20+ contacts a week and I finally found something.

You hope things are going to be easy? You think you going to find a job just cause you're searching?

Stuff doesn't fall from the sky and you're going to have to work hard for it.

Don't make excuses for your failures as you're only hurting yourself.

I know it's hard very hard but expecting a voluntary call back just ain't going to happen.

You gotta harass these f00kers. Call them first thing in the morning, and make sure you call them back asap if the person is not available.

One alternative you could take at this stage is temp worker, it's not bad actually.

I'm just repeating what's basically already been said; so don't make any more lamearse excuses and work on it.

Does this mean that it's OK to call them every 30 minutes daily after application?

obviously whatever ur doing, is not working so make some changes to ur game plan.

Once the application has been in or once you've completed the interview,
under 24 hours you need contact them to thank them or to reconfirm they received the stuff;
get back in touch 2 days or so after that to see if they reviewed it
and maybe one or two other contacts after that a couple days apart.

Don't let the ball drop.

Don't expect a call back.

Unless you're the perfect candidate they'll call you back right away, but you will NEVER be the right candidate, either cause you just don't fit their criterias perfectly or they believe you're not as good as someone else; but you must pursue them to gain your spot.
