Not many better ways in the world to get some rhythm, learn some tricks to use in the clubs and meet some hot girls, or guys, whichever your pick may be.
So who has been a bit daring and taken a Latin class?
Who has dressed up and danced some ballroom?
Anybody taken some funk class at their local gym?
What about some Brasilian moves?
I had some major injuries from playing football, and my doctor recommended taking up a low impact sport like swimming or dancing during the rehabilitation process, and liking a challenge I decided to give dancing a go instead of waking up at 6.00am and having chlorinated skin and hair which has the effect of making you look like you have a contagious disease.
It was quite scary at first as I was the worst dancer in the world.
Like I was terribly hopeless, excuse the term, but I was a total retard on the dance floor. I did some sort of shaking the head moving one foot at a time absolutely confused with the hands idiotic combination of stupidity. My dancing was so bad I could turn a girl from taking off her underpants to give me a feel for later on to the same girl assessing an escape plan using the fire exits and considering the danger of jumping down a height of 2 stories in less than one song if I chose to dance.
But all it takes is some practise, and next thing you know I won trophies and was competing. It also gave me a stomach of steel and the ability to do triple spins on the nightclub dance floor. Apart from dodging a large amount of desperate dateless types, raving homosexuals and people with deep seated emotional issues, it was an uptapped resource of girls. And girls that really liked to have some fun.
If you haven't tried it and want a New Years resolution that actually has a super positive effect on your life I recommend it. |

Took it about 6 years ago.. it was alright.. I don't remember much from it but its fun once you pick it up
I much prefer unstructured dancing though - bring on the drunken funky chicken! :haha: |

17 years of ukrainian folk dance... not exactly somethin' to translate on the dancefloor at a club, but the tricks sure get attention if you're drunk enough to try...! |

I went out with 5 girls one time...they all were trying to pull me out to dance...so like an i say buy me drinks until im ready to dance.
10 whiskeys later im in ready...
all i remember are two things
at one point im dancing with two girls
at another point i elbow someone in the mouth as hard as i can, accidently. they all run screamin into the bathroom.
i went and peed. and was laughing like a ing madman in the pisser all leaned up against the wall and . I couldnt believe it happened.

I danced for 7 years.
Specialized in Jazz, did a little Ballet, did a little Tap, I loved Celtic dancing, and had many a square and polka dance :) I know how to dance the salsa, merangue, and some others :)
I love to dance, and in fact, I think I might get back into it just for the fun of it :) |

7 years is quite an effort.
Why did you stop?
The Salsa seems quite a popular dance worldwide, and it looks awesome when in the hands of some brasilians that know what they are doing.. |

Unfortunately, when I hit highschool, I became overloaded with work, and had no time left to spend 6 hours a week in a dance studio. :( |
