As stated before in a previous thread - do not buy a Behringer DJX 700.

Good luck on the search.

I'm not saying it's a top mixer, but I thing it's the best for the money.

300AU.. hmmm is that just over 300CAD? If so, look into getting the Numark DXM06. I picked it up at $320CAD. and it is a great mixer. 2 Channel (only part that bothers me), really decent EQ's, Sound quality is pretty good, effects are excellent for a mixer in that price range. Quite impressed with them.

It would be my choice if you have a chance to either find it cheap, or save a few more bucks.

well i was looking @ the dxm mixers and in aus the are all around 500 or more but buying in america would only cost about 300 but then plus gettin it shipped and power converters probly defetes the purpose. Excuse the grammer, its late n im tired...

I just thaught about asking this now... iv been practicing beatmatching just using a program like dssdj and going down to a local studio on techs and a pcv275 for about a year now and do you think it is worth buying a cheap mixer to use with 1 computer, 1 cd player and an old direct drive TT with knob pitch faders. The thing is that i have enough money to go buy something good like maybe two good cd players and a nice djm mixer but being only fourteen my parents dont want me spending the money on it:whip: The pcv 275 down at the local radio station studio is dieing in all ways and they have no money to fix it...

I'm sick and tired of people saying this...

Yes, its not the best mixer out there. No, it's sound quality is not great, but for people with a budget this is an amazing mixer. Trust me, I've used this for a while.

If you have a good job, by all means, save up your money and don't buy this, but if you work at a crappy place or don't even have a job this is where you go!!! Behringer kicks ass for us low budget people by far.

Wait, and save up for the DMX06. You can get them for like $500 in Aus, and the extra $200 or whatever spent on this is worth it seeing as you won't have to upgrade ur mixer for ages. I'm sure you can convince ur parents an extra $200 or so ain't too much :)
