i have no idea but i think complaints started rolling in and they may start getting more strict on the rules.
pretty much what happens is, a few people smoke upstairs at the beginning of the night, most people smoke downstrairs but the smoke still travels onto the main floor and gets pretty bad. at around 3:30 they close the downstairs so people have no where to go to smoke so everyone smokes on the main floor. at Kenny Glaskow last time i needed my puffer when i returned home because i couldn't breathe. |

| Coming home from Stacey Pullen, my clothes stunk, I only went downstairs for about 20 seconds to see it for the first time and immediately went back upstairs once I found out it was the "smoking room" it was pretty gross down there. If the main room becomes bad because of downstairs (which it will, busy place, lots of smoking, it will make its way, that stairwell is nice and big), I'll be taking more breaks than I'd like from inside BOA. |

I believe it is because the lounge is separately ventilated. |

it's not ventilated at all.
maybe by ventilated they mean the door is open.
i sure can't stand by the stairs to the downstairs lounge and breathe properly.
the thing is that i really like Boa and i like the staff there and i like the DJs and really i used to go out to clubs when smoking was allowed but i did get used to coming home and being able to breathe properly. |
