Just got my wisdom teef out! (pg. 2)

I had all 4 of mine taken out at the same time, and was out like a light.
Woke up and didn't even know they had started until I tryed to talk and realized my mouth was full of gauze.
the IV did sting a little however, but oh well.
I was on a milkshake/ soup diet for the next few days. |

They sat me in the chair and put the mask on, and I was just waiting for the gas, figuring I'd see how long I could stay awake, and I just zonked out anyway. I woke up and kinda stumbled outta there, went home and went to sleep. I woke up with this large wad of gauze in my mouth, apparently that's how they stop the bleeding.
After a day I could eat yogurt, and after 3 I started eating normal stuff again.
Just make sure not to mess with the craters where your teeth were. If you disturb the blood clotting there, that's when you get the dry spot there and it messes up your nerves something fierce.
Oh yeah, and I got a whole bottle of Vicadin and only used like 2 pills. I took the high road and threw the rest out (never done drugs). :) |

Wow you through out the bottle of drugs, thats crazy! Im on my 2nd day and its worse than yesterday. It's just my jaw muscle kills because it has been open for like 2 days. Its like standing up for a really really long time and then sitting down your muscle starts to get use to the position. |

| the latest ex-rays of my teeth are perfectly normal, until u see my left top and right bottom wisdom teeth and at a 60 degree angle towards my molars. disaster waiting to happen. once the pain starts, its time to go. |

| I had all 4 taken out at once & luckily I didnt have any pain what so ever afterwards! It was a little discomforting the 1st night, but by the next day I was fine & eating solids. The pills were great though!!!!!:gsmile: Especially cuz I didnt have to use that many!!:crazy: :crazy: |

Just wanted to know, anybody that had surgery to get their wisdom teef out, did your arm burn really bad when they gave you the medication? The doctor told me that it would happen but I didn't think it would be that bad. I just remember the doctor telling me that my arm might burn for a while, and then it felt like I just woke up right after. |
I made the mistake of getting one out one time and then three the next. Shoulda done it in one damn shot. Anyhow, since I've lost at least 12 teeth (I'm counting)since, it wasn't a big deal in 20/20 hindsight. I've had a tooth pulled and went to a luncheon right afterwards before. Hard to f*cking eat though without drooling because of the novacaine. Git rid of the medicine, pound a few beers or take a few good pulls from a bottle and you'll be just fine my friend.
