| Intro so far very enjoyable and kinda desperating as I'm waiting for the good stuff. Bass needs a little more oomph...maybe it's just my ears used to heavy bass. Anyway, bassline is simple but effective...claps are a little on the loud side but fit fine...I like them. I like that little twisty sound...I love how at 2:02 the lead came out of nowhere. It could be a little more piercing...sounds too soft for me, but again maybe it's my ears. At 3:27 that's what I wanted to hear...a harsher lead. :D At 3:59 that lead twist was good for the beat to start again...I liked it. I really would like more bass oomph in general...it's lacking a little bit. It would drive the song much better. I loved the ending. You know, 6 minutes is a long time for a song, but I never lost interest while listening to it...it really used those 6 minutes good...I actually wanted more. I loved it...great job. This one is coming with me to Puerto Rico this Thursday too, just like Anergy's new one, hehe. People are saying that trance is dying but I see a good future in it...if more people keep making different trance with a different twist, it'll be a good future. Thanks for sharing. :) |

i like it... it's got that old school anthem feel like The Generater - Where Are You Now..from 1998... although I think the kick needs more low end in the mix and the bassline less lowend... and the clap could be EQed better... turn down 2khz on the clap since it's in the way of the mix.
In general it's not really today's style (I don't know if you were going for a 1998 anthem trance track or not)... I think the mix needs more punch and some progressive sounds or something...a thicker bassline? try replacing the distorted saw midbassline with some gritty clavs found in typical anjunabeats releases so that way it's a good track for release in this day of age not one for 1998 (which it sounds like so far really)
EDIT.. heard the mastered version and I don't think it really did much for the track but make it sound worse...it sounds harsh and ugly now... like a bad radio rip or something.. Leave mastering up to the guys in the mastering house... that's what they're payed to do. |

Great track man! Full of energy, and melody keeps going round and round in my head. I love the work you've done on the bassline, especially the little run at the end of every 4 bars. The structure is really tight, builds perfectly.
The main section after the break could possibly do with some more percussion, some driving 16th hat line is what I'm thinking, to beef up the energy a little more.
But really, it's a great tune mate. Congrats! |
