i could make a melody on my midi but put in it to matrix is a pain in the ass and soo frustrating....alot of times i would get pissed off and dont do ...any tips i could do???
Vizay
my tip is don't use it for melodys, it's just as you described it...a pain in the ass.

the matrix is imo better suited for creating arpeggios or creating gated effects on sounds.

u mean use matrix to do random sounds in the background?
maybe i could just do melodies on the fly then?
Rob
Yes, and I prefer it over the pattern sequencer in FL, that's for sure.

in FL the pattern thing is easy to use.

But in Reason. AFter 2 years working with Reason.

I still don't know how to use.
-Matrix.
-Audio spider things (both)
-Vocoder.

:D

i used ReBirth before i switched to Reason, so the first thing i (naturally) did was trying to make a melody with Matrix. i quickly learned it was not suitable for that, hehe..

i actually never use the Matrix.. maybe i should try the gated effects thing Vizay is talking about.
Foecunditatis
im use it just for bass lines... :D
DJ Chrono
I use the matrix for making support synth loops. I think it's too limiting to make full out melodies with it (1 polyphony etc).
State of Matter
Rob, no self respecting fl studio user uses the sequencer for melodies. That's what the piano roll is for.
