producers/remixers who are boring because they don't vary their sound

for me PUSH ..

I really like some of their productions, e.g. journey of life, tranceformation BUT at the same time their tracks sound so boring because the tracks have almost all the same structure and melody.. This is also the reason why I haven't bought their album! On one hand I think it is good to have a unique sound, but using always the same samples gets really really boring in some time. IMO many Djs get unpopular because of this (I think of F. Corsten right now)..

the album is actually very good, you should check it out.

a remixer is naturally a producer by default..

I was just thinking MIKE (aka Push, one guy). I've heard countless productions of his under countless aliases, and they all are just a bit too similar. And I don't give a crap about his work as Artist X, I've never heard it and I doubt I ever will.

There are however some dj/s producers who've had spells using similar sounds etc & been very succesful off it, tiesto's sound that was in most of the magikal tunes, Ferry's bassline that was evident in most 99/00 stuff etc. It's not a case of some sounds being boring, its the quality in the finish of the track what makes it good or bad

I agree on Push. But still he is a brilliant producer and responsible for some awesome tracks.
For Ferry I do not agree, I think Ferry varies his sound more than Armin van Buuren.

probspot!
i really like some of his productions/remixes but at the end, they all sounds very similar!

i have to disagree on push, imo he is one of the few persons who chooses to replace his sounds every time. The thing that remains is his style, but styles never change. The only style that changes is Tiesto's style, but that has got more to do with the person he chooses to create his next track for him. :)
