I'm starting to become uneasy with fruity, and i'm looking at cubase at the moment...what can you do with cubase that you can't do with fruity? more specifically what makes cubase more powerful than fruity...
Thanks a bunch |

| yeah, and also, what makes reason more powerfull than fruity? I am going to use the holidays to learn reason, because i heard creating tracks take less time with reason than with fruity... The time issue is exactly the problem i have with fruity, creating a quality fruity track takes me like a month |

i dunno where to begin.. Cubase is a sequencer on a whole different level..
+
alot more MIDI/VST and audio functions
better Hardware support
u can record stuff easier
the piano roll is 10x more effective
better mixdown and mastering options
Freeze function
better mixer
-
heavier CPU and RAM load
slower workflow
much more expensive
conclusion:
FL is a great sequencer with VST support, easy workflow, easy to learn, but FL is more meant for EDM music.. with Cubase u can sequence any music style, but has a greater learning curve and its very expensive and the bundled FX in Cubase aint that good |

try Ableton Live 4, #1 imo
People have a wrong view about it. They think its only meant for loops and live concerts. v4 became a full featured sequencer with the best workflow around (imo again) |

if you are uneasy with floops then switching to reason or cubase is gonna make you 10 times more uneasy. not to mention the fact that you are gonna have to spend 500 quid on a peice of software that doesnt do much more than you can already do with the host you've got. and you'll have to take a few months out to relearn sequencing in a new work environment. it just doesnt make any sense.
quit blaming your tools and looking for that golden bit of software thats suddenly gonna get you a record deal. it doesnt exist. learn to use floops properly. |

| I'm not uneasy with it because of ease of use...I guess I'm getting bored with Fruity and I was thinking about moving to a new level of sequencing if that makes sense. Now I'm not saying I know everything about fruity, i am just thinking about switching, or using both...who knows? |

what about logic? | sounds like ur kinds confused.. Logic??? are u crazy man?.. if u cant handle Fruity, u will NEVER get grips with Logic.. stick with what u have, FL is an outstanding program, especially for beginners.. and if u arent a beginner, I dont see why do the switch.. |
