REVIEW: Christmas party/kegger/Gator Pete's Bash in Guelph

OK,
I JUST got home from this, and wow, I had an AWESOME TIME!
No trouble getting in, in fact, I made friend's with the bouncer :)
DJ Ampz AKA Barry was awesome, and Tristan was amazing, (other than his little goof up, but oh well... he rocks anyway). The other DJ's were really good too, however, I didn't know them personally, so I they didn't make as much of an impression on me.
Met lots of TA's, and a whole whack of non-TA's too. Everyone was awesome. I got along great with everyone; they were all VERY friednly.
I drank a lot, and subsequently got very drunk. But that's ok, I danced my heart out, and had a fantastic time.
The venue was awesome. Very neat, with the fish pond, and the cool spirally stairs. Very nice employees.
After party was pretty good, however, I didn't stay long seeing as I needed to get home, and well... I was severely trashed and passing out.
More details to come from me once I don't have to concentarte as much as I am. (Still pretty drunk, but I managed to scober up a little bit.:))
All in all, it was fun, and I had a blast. Thanks to all of you wild and fun TA's that made the experience that much better! |

Anyway, awesome time. TAs that were there:
Myself, Playa24_7, dance2dabeat, Beba (last minute showing :) ), Reverse Logic, amb_, DJ Celica, probably a few others I can't remember at this time.
Awesome atmosphere at Gator Pete's - loved the whole "PRIVATE PARTY" thing going on. Great tunes all around - but picked up at 1 when Tristan went on and the trance came all around :D
However, bigtime props to DJ Ampz (Barry) for playin Rock Your Body Rock when it was needed most :D
The afterparty was good times, except for a few very obviously jacked up people.
Other than that, awesome , and happy birthday again Dennis! (Kat/Beba's brother). It was HIS birthday, but she dragged him out to party with us TAs, and it seemed like he had a great time.
All in all, good , you guys are awesome, and I absolutely cannot wait to party with you all again :D :D :D |

That place was set up really nice I thought, with a second level (never checked it out though), a decent sized floor to dance hehe, and pretty big bar. Even the tiles in the bathroom were nice haha.
Got there pretty early, and Dj Ampz (Barry) came over to us with smiles. Had a few drinks, and within like 45minutes there was alot of people there.
I didnt even expect to really dance it up. I just thought we would all be around talking, listening to them spin, the whole drink in hand and bobbing heads. Which is totally wicked to just chat with everyone, and thats what I thought would happen. Ummm.......NOPE! haha.
Everyone was going crazy dancing, hands in the air, big smiles all around, awesome stuff. Then party animal "old guy" coming on the dance floor out of no where "lets party! dance! dance!" and doing some crazy elaine from senfield dance move, and grabbing confussed girls hands LOL!! I would have helped you out Kat, but it came down to helping you out, or taking a pic of it, so I took a pic lol! Good times good times :D
The afterparty with Dj Ampz spinning was wicked. When my requested song Dogzilla - your eyes came on, I was goin nuts haha. Alot of people were massive drunk lol, so hilarious.
Thanks to Kats brother Dennis for coming out on his b-day to party with us, and Kat for making it down, even though you only slept like 4 hours you crazy machine! haha.
Theresa your a mad nice girl, very friendly, and give you a few drinks, you LOSE it on the floor!
Special thanks to Dj Apmz for hooking up this party! Great times always!
and finally Cale (VERTiGO) for driving us down, and then driving me to get mcdonalds breakfast at 5:15am, the girl telling me I have insufficient funds, saying shes kidding, them me calling her an . lol dont worry dont worry, I was only kidding :tongue2 |

Barry totally killed it. Choon, after choon, after choon! You did an amazing job!
It was nice meeting all the TAs and non-TAs. We definitely know how to party! Can't wait for the next escapade. :)
And yes I do believe that we should convert Denis into a TA. We all know he secretly loves trance! heh :p or at least I like to pretend he does.

The night was a blast. Meet some really nice people as well as a couple of weirdo's (gee what else is new??)!!!!! Thanks to Vertigo who drove last night (honestly b/c if it wasn't for you...my ass would have stayed home after a crazy night at BOA the night before!!!)
The music was just amazing!!!! Thank you AMPZ for the great performace!!!!! I couldn't believe how hard I was dancing....at one point I honsetly thought to myself.."Kelly U are absolutely insane!" haha!! Many people had come up to me and had said they noticed I was nowhere but right up front watchng the DJ and dancing away....yup that's me alright!!!
The Kegger was great...only drank about a quarter of my beer! (I don't really like beer) and the dancing didn't stop until about 4:45 AM for me!
Props to the other DJ's that night as well. GREAT MUSIC!! GOOD VIBE>>>GREAT TIMES!!!
BEBA>>> great meeting such a nice girl who knows how to party well ( not very many of us out there) and your brother Dennis who is not even a TA but still danced hardcore to the amazing beats!!
