recently, i digged up a copy of good ol' Sheet One. minimal techno, ambient techno, experimental and acid at some of its best if you ask me. but this "track", for lack of a better word, really intrigued me.
34 seconds of spoken word by a somewhat awkward speaker, sounding even a bit paranoid, with a sort of echo in the background.

the last thing i remember is, i was saying to her, "they're all crazy... even you, you're all crazy..."
"even me?" she said.
i thought, "oh right, if i categorically eliminate all other people, it's just me and her. she'd like that."
"specially you," i said. "you're virtually the ring leader, the way i see it."
and then, i blew out the candle.

i noticed richie hawtin uses the quote "the last thing i remember is..." a lot. anyone know the story (if there is one) behind this track, or any other info. on it? dunno, just seemed interesting to me. |
