Hercules DJ console, it's hardware, looks like a piece of crap toy....but it's not. It's pretty bad ass. Great for mixing mp3's and CD's.

traktor sucks...but its 30mb ish and its easy to find on kazzaa, and like that. |

Numark Axis 2 are pretty good entry-level CD decks. I've used those before. But their higher end Axis 8 i think, now that thing is the .
But you could buy Pioneer CDJs for the same price :D |

Ive never used actual decks and nor do i consider myself a DJ, but i use Atomix and spin with it quite well.
Ive tried Traktor however but i found there to be too many little confusing things on it, and the layout isnt too good.
If you dont use decks, id suggest Atomix. |

I like MixMeister too (I have version 5) but it's not DJing. You basically lay out the waveforms of the tracks and sequence them. You can then adjust the EQs and volumes and such as desired, it's just not real-time mixing. I think it's great for when I want to make a little mix for my own listening, or put together some audio in basic fashion. |
