seeing pvd at the riv would be nice. ill have to see how things shape up in the next few weeks. |
I agree that Soundbar is just too small for the bigger name dj's. I was at Sasha that Thursday and you couldn't even move and it was worse back in July when PVD was there! Don't get me wrong, I like the place but not for the bigger name events because you can't enjoy yourself as much. |

PVD @ THE RIV!!!
WOOOOOOO!!!!
Who can forget that hot sweaty August night two years ago?!? Ah, the good old days when I had to drive back to my hometown (It's an hour south of Chicago).
But now that I live in River North, I'd be a fool not to go, right?
Hope to see you all there. I think I might still have a picture lying around on my computer from that show! I'm SOOOOO sweaty it looks like I just jumped in a pool with my clothes on!!! |

The Riv. is a venue where they hold concerts I have seen No Doubt, 311, and the Foo Fighters there. I think the sound is okay, and they do have a nice balcany, would be nice to chill up there. As for the capacity look on the previous page!!:whip:
Ill be there for sure, right around my bday!!:toocool: |

According to my google search the Riv has a capacity of about 2,300, compared to HOB with about 1,300. |
The Riv is simliar to the Vic. It's more of a big theatre that has lots of rock shows than a club or lounge. Be prepared for sticky floors!
Neile, was that Foo Fighters show you went to back sometime around 97 or so, when they first started up? That was one of the first shows I think I ever went to there. Good times. |

Yeah man I was there I used to be a Foo- Fighters nut, but am kinda dissapointed with their latest efforts, the first 2 albums still rule! |

Yeah, the first album was all Dave and on the 2nd the drummer, Will Goldsmith, quit apparently because Dave was rerecording the drum parts himself. I guess they're not so good now that he's not completely in control.
Anyway, sorry for somehow turning a PVD thread into a Foo Fighters one...getting back on subject...hmmm...hey, any idea on who's going on before PVD? |

For anyone interested, there's a great new Foo Fighters remix out on White Label in Italy.
Foo Fighters - All My Life (Yoink Mix)
It was produced by the same guys that are behind Sound Alliance, whom James Zabiela has been championing over the past year. |

|
|
| IntoTrance |
| Yeah, I checked Ticketmaster and there aren't any tickets for sale, but there are for sale like the day after? Weird. |
