Oh yes. Danny Howells is by far my favourite DJ and I can guarantee that this mix will be fresh and original - just what the series needs to get out of the rut it's currently in.

I was referring to the main GU series, which - with the exception of 21 and 24 - has become quite stale over the past couple of years.

Well he is most definitely new in the sense that he hasn't yet done a CD for the main GU series. The 24/7 album he did was a concept album and will be quite different from the one he'll release here. The Nu-Breed album, on the other hand, was produced a fair while ago and his sound has progressed a long way since then.
Trust me, this CD will take the GU sound in a positive new direction and will be unlike anything yet released on the label. I can't think of anyone more deserving of a debut GU album than Danny Howells. |
