| That would be what the CF curve/slope would control, but of course the quality of that CF adjust depends on the mixer, its a simple feature, but you get what you pay for in the DJ industry, save more money and get something high range, or check out the new UMX mixers, they have always had a good reputation and there cheap, a good scratch mixer will have a good Xfader like you want, but you need to spend more money if you want a mixer for Trance music and also a good xfader for that, maybe check Denons X300 that looks to be good quality, oh you also want to check to see how sharp the xfader is at cutting in, thats all I can help you with, I rarely use the xfader and don't know much about them. |

by the sounds of it, your xfader curve is set at where you have set it. the reason it mutes before the end of the fader is because you have it set to a sharp cut. my amazing paint skills:

the main point of this is so that you dont have to be arsed to make sure you fade to the end to get a cut, and thus can cut faster and sharper. by the sounds of it, you want a shallower curve.
if you are looking for a new mixer, get the pcv275, the xfader is amazing. |

| If the xfader is amazing than why does it do the same thing to me.... |

the 275 does NOT have a sharp curve, it has a very mellow curve oriented for mixing rather than scratching. trying to scratch on this mixer is in hard! there is no CF curve adjust either. |

I find scratching on this mixer easier when I crank up the gain on the channel with the scratch record.
Speaking of crossfaders, my pcv275s crossfader has these little brown marks on it that arent coming off with a q-tip or anything...I hope my faders arent corroding... |

Could go alittle higher and get the X300, has fully adjustable Xfader and has some good EQs.
