| Quad-band is basically your best option for "World" phone now, Tri-band doesn't cut it anymore. |

He did say world phone though, and he does live in the Western Hemisphere. :)
A Tri-band 900/1800/1900 pretty much stinks for North America now, lots of 850 going around. A Tri-band 850/1800/1900 outside of North America is useless, may as well have a dual-band 1800/1900.
Quad band does sound cool and works wonderfully. |

Get a BlackBerry 7100r from rogers...It's a Quad band Handheld and is dirt cheap by BlackBerry Standards....U can virtually do anything with it including Phone , Email, Pim , Picture book (No camera) , Speaker phone , Encryption etc

Sony's are great full featured phone, but unless you are always in or around downtown, reception sucks your balls on it. Moto's are solid.
