midi lagging

| hey i connected my pcr-50 edirol midi keyboard to the comp and everythings working fine, i can perfectly manipulate the sounds via the keyboard...however, every key i press on the keyboard takes about half a second until i actually hear it on the computer speakers....also, i have it connected via the old usb (not 2.0) is this why its lagging? also, my current system is a 700mhz AMD is this why also? if it is, then its ok because i am getting a 3.0 Ghz soon....any ideas anyone? |

| go in "devides" and "vst multitrack" in options.. and choose the "full duplex driver" is the soundcard that causes the delay.. |

| hey i am using cubase SX, and i think its different than what u said, because i couldnt find VST MULTITRACKS. All i have under my Devices menu is VST Instruments, VST COnnections, and VST Performance, none of which have anything like what u said allowing meto change to full duplex driver |

| "devices" --> "device setup" (farest down on the menu) and then u find "vst multitrack" |

| Get a soundcard that supports atleast ASIO 2 drivers ;) |
