thats my guess too.

static wouldn't blow a fuse. it might fry some sensitive electronic components though.

yea the feather duster was my guess too.

I never really got the point of feather dusters, I mean if you use a damp rag it actually removes the dust, but with feather dusters all youre doing is stirring it up, back into the air.

Anyways...yeah...

cuz anyone wearing a french maid outfit looks so much hotter with a feather duster as a prop instead of a damp rag...

thats the only reason feather dusters are still around... simply for the novelty of the feather duster.

well... either that, or its just a conspiracy....top execs at the feather duster companies see to it that anyone trying to change the way things get dusted is quickly dealt with. theres just terrible mob warfare between them and the swiffer people....

and now you know too much.... you'll be found stabbed in the back with the sharpened handle of a feather duster...
youve been warned....

this isn't just any feather duster, its an ostrich feather duster. BMW use these things because they remove a load of dust.. but even if it built up static, a) it wouldn't (or at least shouldn't) be enough to anything up, b) the thing is grounded, it doesn't matter, c) i am pretty sure that the technics guys know that people clean their decks. i have always cleaned my decks this way, if a ing numark tt1650 and a vestax pdx2000 can deal with it why the can't the 'best' deck on the market?

veezee + kinetic energy, you are blatently clueless :p. that deck s all over the technics from a great height and it is FAR from standard. although i am still undecided on whether to swap it for the mk2 pro as i do like the lack of the 10 minute transition period changing from 1 deck to another. i suppose its all about what the retailer will let me do.

What is the fuse rating? 10 amps? 5 amps? 2 amps? I would love to see static from a feather duster generate even 1 amp of current. I doubt it can even generate a milli amp.

Man dies after electrocution by feather duster. :tongue2

Might want to check it..;)

where abouts would this be located? would it involve voiding the warranty? if so, i'll leave it, i would rather just swap it under warranty.

gunyouken: the fuse in the plug is 5a, no idea about this internal one.. i shouldn't even think the duster would create 10 mA

I woulda swapped it too. good call. You gonna get the mk2 pro then? or you still undecided?

Technics will always have a special place in my heart but I can admit those Vestax decks are nice. I wouldn't ever sell or trade my techs but I'd consider buying those Vestax decks when I can scrounge up some money. I wouldn't go so far as to say they on Techs because I don't feel they do but they're a viable alternative.
