woot, my 19th bday tomorrow, celebrating it to BT here in calgary!

rock star, thats one way to explain him, it was unfortunate that he decided to show up at about 11 30, and his tech guy was unable to get his "gear" up and going, Apparently it was a failed channel on some unit and since they cant afford to carry around spares because the stuff costs are so high.
He opened up great, but it was mostly hype. Dreaming got in there 4-5 tracks near the end? wasnt what i expected, then again i had never seen him. As for the crowd, it wasnt that special, everyone was absolutley dead tired, they saw the laptop being set up, still...stilll.stilll. oh hey BT is here lets rush the front.
The technical difficulties i can see, that happens, but being like 1-2 hours late? 17 bucks for 2 and half maybe 3 hours of BT i could of done without, add on the bitchy crowd, the one couple constantly fighting beside us at the front, hey bouncer want to get rid of this jerk?
But, apparently BT did a double show, seattle then he hit vancover new years eve , so yes i could understand that he is a little bit jet lagged, but isnt that the "DJ" biz?
Hopefully the next shows will be better organized.

PS "The Club" marathon tonight January 2nd on spike starting at 10pm i believe. |

| he only played 2 1/2 - 3 hours? how many club shows have you been to in calgary? most big djs play around 2 hour sets, what did you expect the opening djs to do? stand there and be cheerleaders? |

I think he must mean 1:30.. Because BT only does 1 hour live sets.
And from what i hear its nothing great at all. |

im sure the actual time was off, whatever resident dj or guest dj that was playing there all night was far better than BT in my opinion on this night.
BT did do an amazing essential mix in 2002,it was when i was first introduced to him and because of this set i expected it to be a kickass show. he also had one in 95' and 97' and was also on KISS100 in 2003, again all sweet. Not to mention his part with tiesto for Love Comes Again, and his outstanding Dreaming Track.
But, i am young and dont know anything, but its guys like you who whip fools like me into shape :D

| his best tracks are mercury and solace and flaming june. He has consistently coasted on thier popularity for years. at the vancouver show he played flaming june twice! |

Unfortuantely I live in Deadmonton :p so I'm not sure when i'll be in Calgary next. I have a weekly at Chase Nightclub here in Edmonton, but hopefully I'll be able to come down again soon, I always love playing in Calgary, the crowd's always great.
