What makes a good dj, is someone who can mix (by this i mean two vinyls, or possibly use something along the lines of final scratch) not sit behind a pc and be able to synch up tracks, and re edit their mix till they are happy with it and add efx! (The people who do the later are the ones you see in your local cheesey club).
Anyone can use a piece of software like tracktor! When was the last time you saw a top dj use traktor in a club?......mostly they use vinyl, and or CD-J's (or if your PVD final scratch (which i must add is an awesome piece of kit for those who know nothing about it!)) |

you ppl are ..... w/e you dont understand... its all about the music. not the ing vinyl and turntables. A DJ IS SOME1 WHO PLAYS THE MUSIC. HE MAKES THE TRACKLIST, MOOD, ADDS HIS OWN SOMETHING TO THE TRACKS, MAKEs THE PPL HAVE FUN.
For those of you that didnt beleive that man could fly, that we would go to the moon, that computer software is the future i think its time to think again.
im the dj, you dont see me play but you hear my set. its awesome (flow tl everyone dancing having good time etc etc. does it really matters if its vinyl or trackor?
the dj isnt a man who sits behind the turntables just to look cool. the dj is the man who plays the music. get it? just the music. it doesnt really matter how.
now i prefer the hard way. i find tracktor boring. thats the reason ive spend 10.000$ on a hobby that i might not get 1$ back.
is using cdjs newbie? you dont have skills? cuz u can just look at the bpm and adjust the pitch and there you go... you mixed two tracks together... you stupid noob :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: |

:disbelief its nice to see you can hold a reasonable arguement, and respect other peoples points of view!
People are allowed different views, i guess you might learn that when you grow up.
To me a quality dj is someone i see playing in a club, who hits the breaks and doesnt up a mix, and takes me on a well structured journey for a couple of hours.........not someone who can sit at a pc and produce a set with some piece of software, that anyone could master in a few hours. |

ofcourse ppl have different opinions. the world would be really borring if we didnt. im just saying that it doesnt really matter what the dj is using to take you on the musical journey. and i didnt respcected lanes opinnion because he said it in a bad way...
now if it matters more to see a dj working than listening to the music... then i guess im wrong so...
btw i downloaded so many mixes these days and i dont know where i put it. so feedback when i listen. |
