some people were streotyping North American eating habits, so I thought I'd ask here
a quick poll for those who live at home. How often do you eat "home cooked food"?
frying or microwaving frozen stuff doesn't count ;) |

| Breakfast and supper are always home-cooked, so that's 14. For dinner, i always eat out. And for lunch too sometimes, but when i do eat it home, it's not really a meal per se, just some sandwiches. |

| i don't leave home without having a proper home-cooked breakfast... lunch/dinner and anything in between is either home-made eaten on the go or i just eat out. so the exact figure is hard to get ;) |

Eh. I have to cook for myself or else I starve.
Being uni student has its disadvantages. (I miss my mom's cooking) |

Are you talking about healthy cooked meals v. non-healthy cooked meals?
If it's regarding the stereotyping of the NOrth American's eating non-healthy meals then it should include Frying and microwaving b/c both are the same as eating out. Neither are healthy.
Frying is all about fat....which north americans have too much of.
Microwaving makes all the foods loose it's total nutritional value. Since most North American homes (including Canada) have microwaves...then this should be factored in.
Basically the poll should be adjusted to include these.
The poll should also factor in...if a person is a student at home or is he working class and living indepently. |
