haha! i was looking for ya and the infamous PUNK shirt - but MrS told me that you didn't make it :(
i should have stayed home, but dragged my sorry ass out to the club just to see some peeps - the crowd looked pretty good considering most people were partied out from nye and the rain - the dance floor looked fairly crowded while i was there.
btw - i think this is the official review thread :D
oh yeah - at least we can be thankful that there were no stabbings at this GK event |

after reading this and jumping to the ny thread, my guess that it happened at pvd NYE was right. thats terrible. :whip: just makes me appreciate the chicago scene even more :p |

im pretty sure that the balloon is done for. it was flopping around the first time they turned on the cannons and then the second wave finished it off.
it was nice to see that they had the dj booth back in the old spot. |

Unfortunantly I was unable to be there. I got turned away at the door of Vision because they didnt want to accept my out of state id. They thought I had a fake id. I took the train all the way from Milwaukee WI..and paid some expensive cab money to get there only to be pushed away. I am a big fan of the club and Ferry so this was a letdown for me considering Ive been looking forward to going for wks. Its alright though, I am def going to catch him again as soon as he tours close. I enjoyed my sat night w/my guy in a condo in downtown Chicago all night (with some party favors) Turned out to be awesome although I missed a hella show.

omg, that sucks about the ID! :eek: this isn't the first time i have heard of that happening... i know a girl who is 30 who also got turned away with an out-of-state ID. and i was turned away once as well, but rightfully so, since my ID was fake at the time. they are pretty strict there. but at least you were still able to have a fun night!
btw, sorry i never got back to you, i was in a noisy bar when you called on NYE, and then i was in bed all weekend... i'll try to catch you on AIM today once i get some work done.

That sucks. Hope you didn't preorder tickets and lose money too. Best idea, if you don't have already have one, is to get a state ID or bring a school ID card in addition to a driver's license as a backup if they question you. IL IDs are $50 as a reference point. |

| Had a great time at the show. Finally got to meet some people, and both sets rocked. I was dead tired and cut out after Ferry dropped NYD, but I was very content. |

when ferry plays NYD, is it the version with all those vocals in it, or the version with less vocals??
THere's a horrible radio rip of the one with all the vocals, which sucks cus i love that track |
