in all of my 23 years, I've never had so much pride as I do right now about our cricket side. We've had great individuals from time to time, but now we have a great team.

Our 2004 Record was

Played 13

Won 11

Lost 0

Drawn/No Result 2

After years & years of seeing us play , I'm finally happy to say to Michael Vaughan, Andrew Flintoff, Andrew Strauss, Steve Harmison, The king of spain (Ashley Giles), Hoggard, Trescothick, Key, Bell, Thorpe & both the Jones'

Bring on the ashes next summer :D

Amen.

Its so good to finally see the cricket team playing good. The Ashes is gonna be a well fought series.

Of the 2 drwn games, the first was due to the inspired batting of Lara on a batting friendly pitch. The second was due to the SA taking bad light when they were in a losing position

I have been watching cricket highlights for years and i still dont understand the rules. Looks like a solid game but tough to understand the scoring.

Scoring is simple to understand once you get it, personally tho I've been brought up on it as my dad is an umpire here @ home, so it's in mine and my brothers blood and when exposed to it from early ages, it becomes something that's fun and entertaining.

Tests do go on for upto 5 days yes, but it's all about stamina & attrition, the people who play it have to be incredibly fit & dedicated to do so

Yea!!!... Finally someone to challenge Australia in the Test Cricket... hopefully, we can see some exciting Test Cricket (that will never happen imho, Test Cricket/Cricket in general just got worse by the years).

Go England!!! Go kick Australia's ass in Test Cricket... Test Cricket has never got more dull with Australia's dominance in the sport :(.

Alright, sorry English fans but dont get your hopes up.

How many times in the last 10 years have teams been hyped up only for them to face the mighty Aussies and get belted? Remember SA a few years ago wen they claimed the #1 test spot in the world? we went over and belted the s**t out of them. its going to happen again.

I love Flintoff as much as any Aussie can but as seen in the past he cant carry the side as much as he is needed to.

We can HOPE for a tight test series, and it will certainly be closer than more recent ones, but alas, u poms are no match for us aussies.

(all the best tho ;))

keep thinking like that however and it'll make me happier if we do beat you. Whilst you rightly are confident about your team & it's chances, you're only human and if the players end up being over-confident like you, then we will win, and the arrogance shown by the aussies will be huge egg on face :) All good things come to an end and yours will sometime, like the great west indian team of the 70s & 80s it can't last forever
